What the H***? Why do I not listen to my own reviews. I needed eggrolls and I needed them for a piano recital. This food item was especially requested by the piano teacher. My sister recommended the rolls from this place, and I thought about the so-so experience the first time I went, but said to myself, "try it out." I ordered the rolls over the phone and the young lady had to check that she had the item, after coming back to the line to confirm my order, I thought the deal was said and done. When I picked up the order at the agreed time, only half of my order was made. The young lady who took the order over the phone stated that she ran out of the eggrolls. WHAT? Of course I only paid for what I received, but what kind of business are you running? You obviously know how to take the order, you just don't know how to keep the order and follow through. ( I feel like a Seinfeld episode). What happened to the other 50 eggrolls? Did you make a quick sell to someone else? Did you not See what you were looking for in the first place? I will not go back here again, no matter what the word-of-mouth reviews are. Learn how to do business, because you just lost a customer. Oh yeah, Get the D*mn DOG out of your store.

So it's Saturday and Bulls-Celtics Game 7 is starting in less than 3 hours. More importantly the Pacquiao-Hatton fight is right after. Stupid me should realize that this is practically a Filipino holiday. I've got guests coming over to watch and all my favorite Filipino restaurants are not taking orders! What to do?? To the rescue comes Filipino Food Catering! I placed an order for 100 lumpia shanghai (Filipino egg rolls) at 4:45 and picked it up at 5:30. The lumpia were a bit light on the filling, but they were generously sized and were crisp without being overly greasy. Thanks for saving the party FFC!

I am a writer/translator that arrived in Illinois a year ago and was looking for good Filipino foods. I heard about FFC and the comments of some people but thought I'd go ahead and try since I was more after "good quality" foods anyways, which FFC is recognized for. After having been there a few times, I began to understand and actually sympathize with the lady owner whom some of the people quote here as saying 'unfriendly'. I've personally witnessed and seen "behind the scenes" to know exactly what goes on inside the store. She takes the calls, rushes to the kitchen to cook, rushes out to give the orders, works as a cashier, rushes back to the kitchen to continue cooking....... imagine doing this day-by-day for over 15 years! There are 365 days in a year and I'm pretty sure there are more days when the lady owner is more accommodating than unfriendly. (We tend to judge and condemn a person quickly just because we have been offended.) I have compared with a few other Filipino stores here in Illinois and noticed that FFC adds more ingredients to its dishes. For instance, its famous 'pancit bihon' is not only freshly cooked, tastier and more delicious. It has more meat and vegetables as well, while other stores were dry, cold and with less ingredients (and God knows how many hours their food has been sitting in their counter -- you won't know until you get Salmonella poisoning). FFC's egg rolls, beef stew ("nilaga"), fried/fresh lumpia, fried milkfish (marinated "daing"), and others were absolutely fantastic! And they're always served hot -- fresh from the kitchen! It's no wonder that this is the reason for the rush by the lady owner -- because the lady owner cooks her dishes about 30 minutes prior to her customer arriving. To her, only one thing matters -- that her dishes are served fresh and (still) warm from the kitchen. Like a typical mother who wants her kids to eat their foods fresh, warm and delicious, FFC also wishes to deliver the best quality foods to its customers. My suggestion to unhappy customers: Try and drop in after lunch (when the lady owner is less busy). Eat at the store and you'll find her amazingly friendly after all. Though it takes awhile to know her, it's worth it!

the owner of this place as a massive attitude problem every time we come and order from her. We still come becuz she has the best pansit bihon i've ever tasted and i wanna learn how to cook it the way she does but that's the only reason why we come... otherwise, the way she treats customers here is typical filipino business attitude where i feel like i'm bothering her as i order my food.... if it wasn't only for the pansit... i would never come back... their customer service SUCKS!

The best pork barbecue sticks! They don't skimp on the meat like most caterers and are perfectly marinated. Maruya (plantains covered in a cornstarch flour mixture, fried and then dusted with sugar) is affordable and delicious from here as well. Haven't ordered anything else but they are prompt with your orders.

A small little shop but YUMMY AMAZING FOOD! We ordered egg rolls and pancit palabok, the egg rolls were a hit and the palabok is better than any i've tried at the filipino stores around my house. The shop has some already made ulam that you can buy, and also any condiments you may need with mang tomas or patis and they have palm corned beef (AKA THE BEST CORNED BEEF) if you're having a party, consider this place for food the prices are pretty good and the food is delicious!

Really disappointed! Food was spoiled and was probably on the shelf for days! Will not be back.

The best filipino restaurant in skokie. Manang always treats me and my friends like family and her cooking reminds me of my Grandma's. "Lutong bahay". The best! I would recommend everyone.

If I can put a ZERO star, i would. This place, especially the lady who answered my phone call was one heck of a RUDE person. You would feel like you are disturbing, and taking too much of her precious time. She even hung up on me....
